NorCenPenn is a Youth Soccer League operating in North Central Pennsylvania throughout the upper Susquehanna Valley. It includes the counties of Lycoming, Tioga, Bradford, Sullivan, Juniata, Mifflin, Snyder, Union, Columbia, Montour and Northumberland. While largely rural, the towns of Williamsport, Middleburg, Selinsgrove, Lewisburg, Milton, Lock Haven, Shamokin and Mount Carmel are included in its boundaries.
It services youth ages U9 – U18 in a travel league format and is affiliated with FIFA through USYS and EPYSA.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board is composed of elected officers: President, Vice President (Games Commissioner), Secretary, and Treasurer. These officers are elected to two-year terms at the NCP Annual General Meeting held in November with President/Secretary on odd years and Vice President/Treasurer on even years.
The NCP President also may appoint to the Executive Board a Chief Referee, a League Registrar, a League Scheduler, a Female Player Rep, a Male Player Rep, a coach, and one currently certified Referee.
There is an At-Large Member from each of the three geographical divisions appointed by NCP President to serve an unlimited term on the NCP Executive Board. The At-Large members, and in fact any board member will attend a club meeting by invitation to discuss issues of concern with the local club.
Referee Assignors
Referees across the league are assigned by the League Assignor. Only referees assigned by a NCP Assignor will be paid by clubs to referee NCP games.
EPYSA DISTRICT 5 REPRESENTATION
NCP is a league functioning in EPYSA District 5. Because all clubs in NCP are travel clubs, the clubs affiliate with EPYSA through the NCP League. There is a District representative who serves on the EPYSA Board of Directors and attends most monthly EPYSA board meetings. The District Rep is available to come to club meetings in order to explain and share EPYSA issues with the local club as well share local club concerns with the EPYSA Board on request. The District Rep, League President and/or an alternate attend the EPYSA Annual General meeting in February/March. Any club officers are welcome at the EPYSA AGM but voting is limited to the District rep or his/her alternate and League President.
